Mother, wife, high school English teacher, professional jazz vocalist and theater actor...I wear many hats and know first hand the benefits of yoga.I am dedicated to both the history and evolution of yoga. "YOGA FOR THE PEOPLE!" is my lead philosophy. I love the challenge of a session with all levels in attendance. YOGI-NAUGHTS enjoy a setting of humor, peace, acceptance and compassion from ages 20-80...TOGETHER! It can be done...it IS being done! No one should be left out of this most magnificent gift of yoga. I lead the kind of session I'd want to attend--one with smooth jazz, English spoken, personal interaction with some humor and some quiet...It is my goal to demystify yoga and show that the hocus pocus is in the BREATH and the power is WITHIN. Unveil the power within! You've had the power all along.

VINYASA

A type of yoga linking movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. Vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow of movement and breath. Taught to accommodate "the room"--can be mild, spicy or somewhere in between...depending...


YIN

Yin is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a longer period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little to no muscular engagement. Yin is simply delicious to the lower back, hips and spine!!!


GENTLE

Vinyasa yoga with a separate standing sequence, floor sequence and final relation--no get on and off the floor.
